Post 12

Friendly February

Last week the girls enjoyed the Cheer Rally, good fun, and being good sports!
This was a wonderful opportunity for students to see the great leadership of the older girls and have an
exciting time as well.

We will be reviewing in mathematics this week and take the Unit 5 Assessment. The girls learned

how to do Lattice math, estimate large numbers and work out problems with Expanded and Exponential Notation.

Students are busy researching a country of their choice as a classroom
History Project. They have a complete checklist that they keep in their binders for easy reference, which will assist in focusing on the details of their paragraph writing. We continue to explore hemispheres and map grids in our geography explorations.

In language arts, the girls are learning about homophones, homographs, and memorizing
“good to know” spelling rules.

For Valentines Day, students will be creating a holder for their Valentines. This is a project that will be created at home and brought in to class for the upcoming Valentine’s Party that will be held on Friday, February 12th.
